Letter from the President:

Welcome to LGS!

Being one of the few geriatricians in a city with a population of ~150,000 can be demanding. However, I see it as a privilege to be able to take care of a large and vulnerable population. Being a part of LGS, a state affiliate of the American Geriatrics Society, allows not only healthcare professionals, but individuals in a whole spectrum of disciplines to work together to improve the overall quality of life of our geriatric patients. Although LGS has been quiet during the recent past, we are using this time to revamp the society, grow as an organization and get involved locally.

Apart from serving the elderly, the goal of LGS includes keeping our colleagues and communities well informed and educated on policy updates and practice improvements.

I look forward to working with the board and welcome all new members in joining our organization!
